Post Description

Pay Scale   Pay Level-10 (56,100-1,77,500) in pay matrix under CCS (RP) Rules, 2016. Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.56,100/- p.m. plus DA as applicable per month approximately
Age   Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Class candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/UTs Govt. Servants upto 5 years’ as per instructions/orders issued by the Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. Educational-
Master’s Degree in Geo-physics from a recognised University or Institute.


B. Experience-
Three years experience in the field of Geo-physics.

Note- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Characterization of strata at the project site, conducting geo-physical investigations at the project sites, collection of samples from the project sites, analysis and compilation of test results, maintenance of testing equipment, preparation of reports, formulation of project proposals, Research and Development activities, publication of research papers and collection and maintenance of data base on the area of activities. Undertake all work as assigned by Scientist D/Scientist C/Senior Officers from time to time.
Probation   One year
Headquarters   Headquarters is at Central Soil and Materials Research Station, New Delhi with All India Service Liability
Other Details   The post is General Central Service, Group ‘A’,Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
