Post Description
Pay Scale | Level – 10 (Rs.56,100-1,77,500/-) in Pay Matrix as per CCS (R.P.) Rules, 2016. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56,100/- plus DA as applicable per month approximately) |
Age | Not exceeding 38 years for OBC category candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancy reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Govt. / UT Govt. servants upto five years as per the instructions issued by the Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s) |
A. Educational - Master Degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Extension from a recognized university or institute or Master of Business Administration with Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from a recognized university or institute or Master’s Degree in Rural Management from a recognized university or institute or Master’s degree in Agricultural Business Management or Vegetable Sciences or Horticulture or Agro-Forestry or Degree in Agriculture Engineering from a recognized University or Institute. B. Experience- One year experience in Agricultural Extension work in the Central or State Government or autonomous body or Public Sector Undertaking. Note - Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. |
Desirable Qualification (s) | Two years’ experience in formulation and conduct of Extension Training Programme. |
Duty(ies) |
(i) Branch Officer of Technical Section (ii) Assistance in In-service training programme (iii) Arrange visits of farmers from States (iv) Maintain the progress of the training programmme of farmers (v) Coordination of Annual Plan |
Probation |
One Year for Direct Recruits. The period of one year probation for direct recruits shall include successful completion of mandatory induction training of two weeks duration. |
Headquarters | Headquarters at present is at New Delhi but liable to serve in any part of India or abroad. |
Other Details | General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent. |
