Post Description

Pay Scale   Level – 10 (Rs.56,100-1,77,500/-) in Pay Matrix as per CCS (R.P.) Rules, 2016. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56,100/- plus DA as applicable per month approximately)
Age   Not exceeding 38 years for OBC category candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancy reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Govt. / UT Govt. servants upto five years as per the instructions issued by the Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. Educational -
Master Degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Extension from a recognized university or institute or Master of Business Administration with Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from a recognized university or institute or Master’s Degree in Rural Management from a recognized university or institute or Master’s degree in Agricultural Business Management or Vegetable Sciences or Horticulture or Agro-Forestry or Degree in Agriculture Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

B. Experience-

One year experience in Agricultural Extension work in the Central or State Government or autonomous body or Public Sector Undertaking.

Note - Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)   Two years’ experience in formulation and conduct of Extension Training Programme.
Duty(ies)   (i) Branch Officer of Technical Section
(ii) Assistance in In-service training programme
(iii) Arrange visits of farmers from States
(iv) Maintain the progress of the training programmme of farmers
(v) Coordination of Annual Plan
Probation   One Year for Direct Recruits.
The period of one year probation for direct recruits shall include successful completion of mandatory induction training of two weeks duration.
Headquarters   Headquarters at present is at New Delhi but liable to serve in any part of India or abroad.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
