Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 12 in the pay Matrix (Rs. 78800-209200/-)
Age   Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 43 years for Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servants upto 5 years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION- Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution or pass in Section A and Section B of the Associate Membership Examination in Electrical Engineering branch from Institution of Engineers (India) and


B. EXPERIENCE- Ten years’ professional experience in generation, transmission or distribution of Electricity or Maintenance of electrical equipment (including at least two years’ experience in Electrical Engineering in direct relation to plant and equipment used in mining).

Note 1- The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Note 2- Only those candidates who were enrolled for Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) up to 31.05.2013 are eligible for consideration to the post of Deputy Director of Mines Safety (Electrical) (Direct Recruitment) and the candidates who have enrolled on or after 01.06.2013 for AMIE are not eligible for consideration to the post of Deputy Director of Mines Safety (Electrical) (Direct Recruitment)
Desirable Qualification (s)   Post-Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University /Institution.
Duty(ies)   Inspection of mines in connection with the enforcement of Electricity Act, 2003 ( 36 of 2003) and the rules and regulations framed there under and any other duties that may be assigned.
Probation   One year

Other Details   The posts are permanent. General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted. (Non-Ministerial).
