Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-7(Rs.44900-142400)in Pay Matrix of 7th CPC.
Age   Not exceeding 30 years as on closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government servants upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A.EDUCATIONAL:
i. Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with Kannada as major subject.
ii. Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a recognized University or Institute;
B.EXPERIENCE:
Two years’ professional experience in a Library under Central or State Government or Autonomous or Statutory organization or Public Sector Undertaking or University or Recognized Research or Educational Institution.

Desirable Qualification (s)   DESIRABLE
i. Master’s Degree from a recognized University with Kannada as major subject.
ii. Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a recognized University or Institute.
iii. Diploma in Computer Applications from a recognized University or Institute or Board.

Duty(ies)   Supervision of the library affairs. To coordinate selection and purchase of books for library. Organizing language seminars and book exhibitions. In-charge of a particular language, its technical processing, preservation & supply of information etc. including process of reading material and its services co-relating particular language/any literature with the literature of other languages through GISR Technology.
