| Pay Scale | Level–10 of pay matrix (Rs.56,100-1,77,500) as per 7th CPC. |
| Age | Not exceeding 35 years for the candidate as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant up to Five Years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
EDUCATIONAL M.Sc in Agronomy or Crop Physiology or Agricultural Physics or Agricultural Meteorology from a recognized University. Note Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified. |
| Desirable Qualification (s) | One year’s experience in Remote Sensing and GIS Application in Agriculture. |
| Duty(ies) |
- In season satellite data analysis for area estimation, change detection, data base compilation, inventory of image data, ancillary data , GIS data base, upgradation, stratification and sampling upgradation. - Ground Truthing (GT) collection and Planning . - Yield Forecasting using agromet and spectral models - Optimal combination of different source data. - Establish mechanism for data downloading and uploading. - R&D activities related to remote sensing applications in agriculture. |
