Post Description

Pay Scale   Level–12 of pay matrix (Rs.78800-209200)
Age   Not exceeding 55 years for Scheduled Cates candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant up to Five Years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   (A) EDUCATIONAL

M.Sc. in Microbiology from a recognized University or Institute or M.Sc. in Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology or Microbiology or Mycology from a recognized University or Institute
Or
M.Sc. in Agriculture with specialization in Soil Science or Agricultural Chemistry or Agronomy or Microbiology or Plant Pathology or Horticulture or Agricultural Extension from a recognized University or Institute.

(B) EXPERIENCE

Possessing ten years experience in the field of research and development of bio-fertilizer and other aspects of organic farming with experience in quality control of biofertilizers and organic fertilizers including two years administrative experience.

Note- The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.

Note- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)   Ph.D. in any of the subjects specified in the essential qualifications above from a recognized University or Institute.
Duty(ies)   To facilitate, encourage and promote development of organic agriculture. To monitor Quality control of biofertilizers and organic fertilizers, as per the requirement of Fertilizer Control Order (FCO). To undertake regular efficacy testing and ensure supply of mother cultures of biofertilizer and other beneficial microorganisms. To organize training programmes/seminars/workshops. Validation of established indigenous practices and technologies leading to development of package of practices. To monitor work of collecting data of different aspects of organic farming, and dissemination of information through print and electronic media Publication of training literature and documented indigenous practices. Awareness creation through seminars/conferences/trade fairs. To support Central and State Governments in evaluation, and monitoring of various organic agriculture schemes. To act as Head of Office at respective centre.
Probation   one year
Headquarters   At present NCONF having its Headquarters at Ghaziabad and Regional Centres at Ghaziabad, Nagpur, Bengaluru, Imphal and Bhubaneshwar. The officers will be liable to serve at HQ or any of existing Regional Centres or which may be set up in future with liability to serve anywhere in India.
Other Details   General Central Services, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
