| Pay Scale | Level- 10 in the pay matrix |
| Age | Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 38 years for OBC candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 40 years for SC/ST candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ UT Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/order issued by Govt. of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
A EDUCATIONAL Masters Degree in Ore Dressing or Mineral Processing or Geology or Physics or Chemistry from recognized University or Institute OR Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree in Mineral Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy from recognized University or Institute. B EXPERIENCE 03 years experience in conducting mineral beneficiation or mineral characterization for beneficiation of various ores and minerals from a recognized laboratory or beneficiation plant. Note- (i) The qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. (ii) The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe, if at any stage of selection, the Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. |

Doctorate Degree in Ore Dressing or Geology or Mineral Processing or Physics or Chemistry from recognized University or Institute. OR Master of Technology in Mineral Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy from recognized University or Institute. |
| Duty(ies) | To carry out various experiments on beneficiation of low grade ores and minerals both on laboratory and pilot plant scale also chemical and physical operations in connection with the development of suitable processes involving the usage of mineral raw materials required in various industries devising techniques for various mineral productions. |
