|Essential Qualification (s)||
Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
EXPERIENCE- 02 (Two) years experience in core Mining activity in-
(a) Supervisory position in Metalliferous (Non-coal) mines
which includes the period as graduate or management
or Junior Trainee Engineer, or
(b) Government Department dealing with mines and
minerals in Level 6 in the pay matrix (Rs 35400-
112400) or above.
Note- (i) The qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
(ii) The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste & Scheduled Tribe, if any stage of selection, the Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
|Desirable Qualification (s)||Master of Engineering or Master of Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.|
|Duty(ies)||Inspection of Mines for systematic development, conservation of minerals and protection of Mines and Minerals (Development & Regulation) Act, 1957 and rules made there under. To prefer court complaints for violations of Mines and Minerals (Development & Regulation) Act, and rules made there under. To advise the mine owners on the adoption of appropriate technology for prospecting and mining, utilization of low grade minerals and rejects, protection of environment in mining areas, beneficiation of minerals. To monitor the mining activities in accordance with the approved mining plan/scheme of mining.|
