Post Description

Pay Scale   Level–10 of the pay matrix (56,100-1,77,500/-) as per 7th CPC Total emoluments- Rs. 56,100 plus DA p.m. as applicable approximately
Age   Not exceeding 35 years for as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regular appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five Years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL

(i) M.Sc. in Horticulture or Agriculture with specialization in Horticulture from a recognized University or Institute.

Note 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

B. EXPERIENCE
Three years regular experience in the field of horticulture crops production or farm management or protected cultivation from Central Government or State Government or Union Territory Administration or Public Sector Undertaking or Statutory Autonomous organization or recognized research institution or Universities.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Senior Farm Manager will be responsible for establishment of plantations, nurseries, greenhouses and all the infrastructures of the farm and their maintenance as per the guidance of Director and Horticulture Specialists of the Institute. He/She will also be responsible for farm revenue and overall management of farm activities.
Probation   Two Years for direct recruits.
Note- All direct recruits are required to successfully complete a mandatory induction training of at least two weeks duration, as prescribed by the competent authority, for completion of probation.
Headquarters   Dimapur, Medziphema, Nagaland with liability to serve anywhere in India or abroad.
Other Details   General Central Services, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
