Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-11 in the pay matrix (Rs. 67,700-2,08,700/-) Plus NPA .
Age   Not exceeding 45 years as on the normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time.
Essential Qualification (s)   EDUCATION-
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

(ii) Post-Graduate Degree in the concerned speciality or super speciality mentioned in Section A in Schedule VI or equivalent i.e. D.M.( Medical Gastroenterology)/ D.M.( Gastroenterology)/ M.D.( Medicine) or M.D.( Paediatrics) with 2 years special training in Gastroenterology.

EXPERIENCE- Three years’ experience in the concerned Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree.

NOTE- 1 In case of holders of DM. qualifications of 5 years’ duration, the period of senior PG residency rendered in the last part of the said DM shall be counted towards requirement of experience.

NOTE- 2 The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

NOTE- 3 The qualifications granted in United Kingdom shall be recognized medical qualifications only when granted on or before 11.11.1978.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Candidates shall work in the hospitals of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi and shall be primarily handling patients of various types in these hospitals for medical care. However, they can also be entrusted with other work including administrative and other related work as per exigencies of the public service.
Probation   02 years
Headquarters   Delhi.
Other Details   Group ‘A’ Non-ministerial, Delhi Health Service. The post is Permanent.
Any Other Conditions   Persons appointed to the service shall not be allowed private practice of any kind whatsoever including any consultation and laboratory work.
