Post Description

Pay Scale   Pay Level-7 (44,900-1,42,400) in pay matrix under CCS (RP) Rules, 2016. Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.44,900/- plus DA as applicable per month
Age   Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Castes as on normal closing in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for Government servants upto five years in accordance with instructions or orders issued by Central Government.
Essential Qualification (s)   A. Educational-

Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a Recognised University or Institution

Note Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

B. Experience-

Two (02) years’ experience in chemical analysis of ores and minerals from a laboratory recognized as a Research Laboratory by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research or Department of Science and Technology or any other such Government organization carrying out chemical analysis of ores and minerals.




Note- The qualifications regarding experience is or are relaxable at the discretion of Union Public Service Commission, for the reasons to be regarded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes if, at any state of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from the community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   To conduct chemical analysis of ores, minerals and ore dressing products using classical method and instrumental methods of analysis. Supervising and guiding the technical assistants in chemical analysis.
Probation   02(Two) Years
Headquarters   Headquarters is in Nagpur (Maharashtra) with service liability anywhere in India.
Other Details   General Central Service, Non-Ministerial Gazetted, Group ‘B’. The post is permanent.
