Post Description

Pay Scale   Pay Level -10 in the Pay Matrix (Rs. 56100-177500/-)
Age   Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Class candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/UT Government Servants upto 5 years as per instructions or orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A). EDUCATIONAL:-
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronics Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
B). EXPERIENCE:-
Having at least three years research experience in Mechanical/ Mechatronics Engineering related to water/power/marine aspects.

Note 1:- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Calibration of flow meters in laboratory/field flow measurement performance test of turbines, pumps at site and measurement of flow through pipelines at site, conducting hydraulic model studies for pump intakes etc. preparing project and technical reports and draft standards for the research work.
Probation   One year
Headquarters   Khadakwasla, Pune with All India Service Liability.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted. (Non-Ministerial). The post is permanent. The post is not suitable for Ataxic in One Arm affected and One Leg (OL) affected sub categories of Locomotor Disability category of PwBD.
