Post Description

Pay Scale	Level – 10 (Rs.56,100- 1,77,500/-) in Pay Matrix as per CCS (R.P.) Rules, 2016. Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56,100/- plus DA as applicable per month approximately.
Age	Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Classes candidates and 40 years for Scheduled Caste candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servants up to 5 years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)	Educational- Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from a recognized University or Institute. Note 1 - The qualification (s) are relaxable at the discretion of Union of Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Experience- Having at least three years research experience in Environmental management in Water Resources aspects. Note-2: The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reason to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)
Duty(ies)	Basic and applied research using the hydraulic models to assess the environmental impacts on water bodies like rivers, lakes, estuaries and coastal waters due to industrial and thermal effluents.
