Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-11 (Rs. 67700-208700) plus NPA
Age   Not exceeding 45 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 48 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL

i) A recognized MBBS qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.


ii) Post-graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned speciality mentioned in Section-A or Section B in Schedule VI or equivalent i.e., M.D. (Tuberculosis)/M.D. (TB & Respiratory Disc)/M.D.(Medicine) with T.D.D. /M.D.(Medicine) with D.T.D./M.D.(Medicine) with D.T.C.D./M.D.(TB & Chest Diseases)/T.D.D/D.T.D./D.T.C.D.

B. EXPERIENCE

Three years, experience in the concerned speciality after obtaining the first Post Graduate Degree or 5 years’ experience after obtaining the Post Graduate Diploma.

Note 1:- The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the U.P.S.C, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Note 2:- The qualifications granted in United Kingdom shall be recognized medical qualifications only when granted on or before 11-11-1978.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Candidates shall work in the hospitals of the Government of NCT of Delhi and shall be primarily handling patients of various types in these Hospitals for medical care. However, they can also be entrusted with other work including administrative and other related work as per exigencies of the Public Service

Other Details   Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non Ministerial, Delhi Health Services. The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions   1. Persons appointed to the service shall not be allowed private practice of any kind whatsoever including any consultation and laboratory work. 2. Reservation under OBC category will be provided only to those candidates who submit OBC certificate issued by Govt. of NCT of Delhi. Candidates who submit OBC certificate issued by other States/UTs will be considered as General/Unreserved candidates against General/Unreserved vacancies.
