Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-11 in the pay matrix (Rs. 67,700-2,08,700/-) Plus NPA .
Age   Not exceeding 50 years for Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribe Candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 48years for OBC candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATION

(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

(ii) Post-Graduate degree in the concerned super specialty mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI or equivalent i.e. M.Ch.(Neuro –Surgery).

B. EXPERIENCE Three years ‘experience in the concerned super Speciality after obtaining the first Post –Graduate degree.

NOTE- 1 In case holders of M.Ch. qualification of 5 years’ duration, the period of senior PG residency rendered in the last part of the said M.Ch. shall be counted towards requirement of experience.

NOTE- 2 The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

NOTE- 3 The qualification regarding experience is/are relaxable at discretion of the UPSC, for reason to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the UPSC is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Candidates shall work in the hospitals of the Government of NCT of Delhi and shall be primarily handling patients of various types in these hospitals for medical care. However they can, also be entrusted with other work including administrative and other related work as per exigencies of the Public Service.
Probation   02 years
Headquarters   Delhi.
Other Details   Group ‘A’ Gazetted Non-Ministerial, Delhi Health Service. The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions   1. Persons appointed to the service shall not be allowed private practice of any kind whatsoever including any consultation and laboratory work. 2. Reservation under OBC category will be provided only to those candidates who submit OBC certificate issued by Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
