Post Description

Pay Scale   Level–14 of pay matrix (Academic Level- 14) (Rs. 144200- 218200).
Age   Not exceeding (Preferably below) 50 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per Instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of applicants, please see relevant paras of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection’.
Essential Qualification (s)   (A) EDUCATIONAL-

(i) Ph. D. Degree in Computer Science & Engineering and First class at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in Computer Science & Engineering and

(ii) At least 6 research publication at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals/ UGC / AICTE approved list of journals and at least 2 successful Ph. D. guided as Supervisor / Co-supervisor.
OR
At least 10 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals/ UGC/ AICTE approved list of journals.

Note- 1- Candidates recruited as a Faculty with the basic minimum qualifications such as M.Sc. (Mathematics), M. Sc. (Biotechnology), M. Sc. (Electronics), M.Sc. (Computer Science allied subjects), M. Sc. (Physics), M.Sc. (Chemistry), MCA or AMIE, which were considered eligible at the time of recruitment or taken admission in such Courses before publication of the AICTE Gazette dated 13th March, 2010 will also be considered as eligible, subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria and higher qualifications as prescribed.

(B) Experience-

Minimum 10 years experience in Teaching / Research / Industry out of which at least 03 years shall be at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor.



Note- 2- If a Class or Division is not awarded, a minimum of 60 percent marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to First Class or Division. If a Grade point system is adopted the CGPA will be converted into equivalent marks as below.

Note 3- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

• Maintaining scholarly standards in teaching.
• Organizing R&D works with special focus on local problems, organize seminars/ conferences, carry out high quality technical research publications.
• Departmental and Intuitional administration.
• Innovation and pedagogical initiatives as per NEP 2020.
• Public relation and interaction with community.
• Perform any anther assignments / duties assigned by superiors/ A&N Administration
All other activities as per RR and follow all laid down institute norms.

Other Details   General Central Service Group “A” Gazetted, Non- Ministerial. The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions   The Candidates should be ready to serve in any part of Andaman & Nicobar Islands as per the order/requirement of A & N Administration.
