Age | Not exceeding 50 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per Instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s) |
(A) Education- (i) Master’s Degree in Agronomy or Agriculture with Agronomy as a subject or Agricultural Chemistry or Soil Science or Agricultural Extension or Agricultural Economics or Agricultural Botany or Master’s Degree in forestry or Botany or Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized University or Institute and (B) Experience Ten years’ experience in the field of soil and water conservation or soil health management or rainfed or integrated farming and or soil survey or problem soil reclamation or project formulation including agro- forestry projects in Central or State Government departments or Union territory Administrations or recognized research institutions or agricultural universities or public sector undertakings or semi- Government or autonomous or statutory organizations. |
Desirable Qualification (s) | Doctorate Degree in any of the disciplines mentioned in essential qualifications or Master’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized University or institute. |
Duty(ies) | Responsible for technical examination and report preparation on topics like Natural Resource Management, Sustainable Agriculture, and Climate Change. Implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes, Coordination with states and stakeholders, Organizing review meetings, and monitoring scheme progress . Managing financial tracking, output details, and international collaborations. Addressing agricultural issues, preparation of proposals, and handling budgetary matters. Drafting Parliamentary documents, VIP References, and Annual reports on assigned subjects for the Division. |

Headquarters | New Delhi with liability to serve anywhere in India or abroad. |
