Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-11 in the pay matrix (Rs. 67,700-2,08,700/-) Plus NPA .
Age   Not exceeding 40 years as on the normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   EDUCATION-
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in section 13(3) of the said act.

EXPERIENCE- Five years’ professional experience including three years’ experience in occupational health in the Factories or ports or Mines or construction industry or Occupational Health Service Centres of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation( ESIC) or Employees’ State Insurance( ESI) Hospital/ Occupational Health Disease Centre.

NOTE- The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)   Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Social and Preventive Medicine or Industrial Hygiene or Physiological Medicine or Occupational Health from a recognized university or Associate Fellow of Industrial Health ( AFIH) from a recognized institution.
Duty(ies)   1) Identification of training needs of group of employees of various organization and design and conduct of training programmes/workshops in Occupational Health.
2) Carry out research studies and surveys in the field of occupational health and recommend appropriate measures to the industries for improving the working conditions.
3) Guide and supervise the work of technical staff during the studies and prepare reports of the studies.
Probation   One year subject to completion of two weeks of training.
Headquarters   Mumbai with all india service liability.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted Non-ministerial. The post is Permanent.
