| Pay Scale | Pay Level-7 as per pay matrix. |
| Age | Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 33 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. Of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
Educational- Masters’ Degree in Ore Dressing/ Mineral Processing/ Geology/ Physics/ Chemistry from a recognized university or institution. OR Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree in Mineral Engineering/ Chemical Engineering / Metallurgy from a recognized university or institution. Experience- Two Years experience in conducting mineral beneficiation or mineral characterization for beneficiation of various ores and minerals from a recognized laboratory or beneficiation plant. Note 1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Note 2- The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes or the Scheduled Tribes, if any stage of selection, the Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. |
| Desirable Qualification (s) | Master of Technology in Mineral Engineering from a recognised University or institution. |
| Duty(ies) | Carrying out such beneficiation operations in the laboratory of the divisions are required for the formulation of different flow sheets for the upgrading of various low grade ores and minerals. |
