Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 10 in Pay Matrix (Rs. 56100-177500/-) Pre revised Pay Scale Rs. 15600-39100/- (PB-3) plus Rs. 5400/-(Grade Pay) Total Emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be equal to Rs. 65640/- p.m. approx. (17% DA as on 01.01.2020)
Age   Not exceeding for 40 years for Schedule Caste Candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. (Relaxation of 5 years is admissible as the post is reserved for SC category as per DoP&T OM No. 15012/2/2010-Estt. D dated 27.03.2020. Note1 Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servants’ upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by the Govt. of India from time to time.
Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL Master Degree in Agriculture or Agriculture Extension from a recognized University or Institute or Master of Business Administration with Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from a recognized university or institute or Master’s Degree in Rural Management from a recognized university or institute or Master’s Degree in Agriculture Business Management or Vegetable Science or Horticulture or Agro-Forestry or Degree in Agriculture Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
B. EXPEREINCE One year experience in Agriculture Extension Work in the Central or State Government or Union Territories or Autonomous Body or Public Sector Undertaking.
Desirable Qualification (s)   Two years’ experience in formulation and conduct of Extension Training Programme.
Note 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise will qualified.
Note 2 The qualifications regarding experience are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled castes or Scheduled Tribes. If at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the post reserved for them.
Duty(ies)   (i) Branch Officer of Technical Section
(ii) Assistant in In-service training programme
(iii) Arrange visits of farmers from States
(iv) Maintain the progress of the training programme of farmers
(v) Coordination of Annual Plan
Probation   01 year for Direct Recruits
Headquarters   Headquarter is at present at New Delhi but liable to serve in any part of India or abroad.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted. (Non-Ministerial).
The post is permanent.
