Post Description

Pay Scale	PB-3 Rs. 15,600-39,100 plus GP 5400 (6th CPC), (as per 7th CPC, Rs. 53,100-1,67,800/-)
Age	Not exceeding 35 years as on the normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For Age concession applicable to some other categories of applicants, please see relevant paras of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection.’ Note - The eligibity criteria i.e. Age, Experience, etc will be counted as on 02.04.2020 as this vacancy was already advertised on 14.03.2020 with the closing date 02.04.2020.
Essential Qualification (s)	A. EDUCATION : 1. A degree in Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a recognized University or equivalent as per Veterinary Council of India (minimum standards of Veterinary Education degree Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry) Regulations, 1993. 2. Three years experience in handling and treatment of wild animals and birds in captivity. NOTE:-I: The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications. NOTE:-II: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)	A Master’s degree in Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science and/or practical experience of treating wildlife.
Duty(ies)	(i) To treat sick animals, conduct pathological and postmortem examination. (ii) To take the rounds twice the displayed areas to check up health problems. (iii) To procure medicines, vaccines, reagents and chemicals. (iv) To assist the Veterinary Officer in his day to day work.
Probation	Two years.
Headquarters	New Delhi.
Other Details	General Central Service Group ‘A’ (Gazetted Non-Ministerial) The post is Permanent.
